From Wild Tree to Your Shelf:
With Nothing Hidden
Marula Products is a traceable, women-led supply chain rooted in Zambia's Luangwa Valley. Every step, from hand-harvest to bottling, is documented, solar-powered, and independently verified.
Our commitments
Six pillars of responsible production
Women's Empowerment
Every batch begins with the women of the Luangwa Valley. Harvesters receive above-market pay, written agreements, and structured skills training. Income stays local, creating measurable economic independence in rural communities where alternatives are scarce.
Traceability
Each batch is documented from tree to bottle. We maintain lot-level records covering harvest location, processing date, lab results, and chain of custody. Documentation is audit-ready and structured to meet global deforestation standards and supply chain transparency requirements.
Environmental Sustainability
Marula fruit is wild-harvested by hand during its natural fruiting season, with no plantations, no monocultures, and no chemical inputs. Production is powered off-grid by solar energy. The living-tree model assigns economic value to standing trees, creating a direct financial incentive against deforestation.
Product Integrity
Our oil is cold-pressed, unrefined, and free from additives, preservatives, or blending agents. Small-batch production ensures consistency. Every batch undergoes independent laboratory testing for purity, fatty acid profile, and safety. Certificates are available on request.
Community & Conservation
We operate on the principle that conservation works when communities benefit from it. By making native trees worth more standing than felled, harvesters become active stewards of the ecosystem. Local prosperity and biodiversity are treated as the same outcome, not competing priorities.
Regenerative Production
Our harvest volume is calibrated to natural fruiting cycles; we do not over-harvest or stockpile. Off-grid solar processing eliminates dependence on fossil-fuel infrastructure. The result is a production model that replenishes rather than depletes, year on year.
